Busy Day....

Today was one of our busier days this week. Over a month ago, I joined a new moms group at our church called Square One. It's for first time moms that are starting out on this new journey of motherhood with the goal to meet with "seasoned" moms for helpful advice and make some "new mom" friends that are just as clueless as you. Our church is all about building community so I was happy that a few of us decided to continue meeting on a weekly basis after our official sessions were complete.

Today was our 1st time to meet outside of the class and we had a great time. We met in a room at the church, there were 11 of us so the room was pretty packed. It was great for me to get some adult conversation and for Marshall to see all the other babies. He was just talking up a storm to a cute little girl, Camryn...it was quite entertaining to watch and listen to. There's actually 2 girls in the group that live in our neck of the woods, one's in Wylie and the other in Murphy so that will be fun to have some kids we know near by. Afterwards, all of us decided to have lunch at Chic-fil-a and as you can imagine it was pretty funny to see all of those baby carriers in one area...it was like an infant take-over! Next week we're meeting at Northpark Mall for story time at their little library...should be interesting, I'll try and take some pictures.

Then we were off to visit Gi-Gi in the hospital. She had her left hip replaced yesterday. G-pa and Grandma Maureen were there too, so it was good to see everyone. Gi-Gi has already gotten up twice to walk to the door, so she's well on her way to a speedy recovery!
